September 29, 2015: Today the Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) announced completion of the destructive re-entry of the fifth H-II Transfer Vehicle (HTV), named Kounotori-5, bringing to an end its mission. Odyssey engineers supported from the Johnson Space Center Mission Control Complex as release and departure from ISS went smoothly on September 28, with release occurring at 16:53 GMT. Re-entry followed a day later, at 20:33 GMT. Congratulations to the entire JAXA, CSA, and NASA team!
