Cygnus_OA-5_PatchOctober 23, 2016: Orbital ATK’s unmanned Cygnus spacecraft successfully reached the International Space Station (ISS) this morning on the sixth of its planned cargo missions under the Commercial Resupply Services (CRS) contract with NASA. Cygnus launched from Wallops Virginia on October 17 atop an Antares 230, successfully reaching ISS and being captured via robotic arm at 13:28 GMT on October 23, 2016.

Odyssey personnel supported from the Mission Control Complex at Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX throughout the rendezvous and capture. Cygnus will remain attached to ISS for approximately a month before departing for a destructive atmospheric re-entry. Congratulations to the entire Orbital ATK team!
