Cygnus_OA-6_approaching_the_ISSMarch 26, 2016: Orbital ATK’s unmanned Cygnus spacecraft successfully reached the International Space Station (ISS) this morning on the fifth of its planned cargo missions under the Commercial Resupply Services (CRS) contract with NASA. Cygnus launched from Cape Canaveral on March 23 atop an Atlas V, successfully reaching ISS and being captured via robotic arm at 10:51 GMT on March 26, 2016.

Odyssey personnel supported from the Mission Control Complex at Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX throughout the rendezvous and capture. Cygnus will remain attached to ISS for nearly three months, which surpasses its previous longest duration by almost a month, before departing for a destructive atmospheric re-entry.
